Disappointing
I replaced a bit larger unit that had a bad switch. I picked out this one so it would fit beneath a window sill. It's really just ok. It doesn't have graduated temps; there's a switch for 'on' that turns on the light, then 2 more for low or high heat. They are located on the side bottom edge and you have to reach almost to floor level to operate them. The heat capacity is very limited, even on high. I do like that the blower is quiet and there isn't a glowing red heater coil at the bottom. Why the artificial flame effect is 'award winning' I can't imagine. Our old unit was far more realistic. I wish I'd spent more and gotten something nicer.

My new best friend.

She had me convinced in no time flat, and then when I saw what a great price I could get it on EBay there was no question. I had to have it. Especially after I realized that I usually call a cleaning service because the floors are dirty more than any other reason. Well, let me tell you, I've been thrilled. What a neat tool, especially for pet owners like me!

Better than Ever
Boy, this ain't yo' Mama's Dustbuster!! I hadn't bought one in probably 10 years and could not believe the range of products offered now. Black and Decker has taken the old Dustbuster to new heights. This unit I bought could such the dentures out of Grandpa's grin. The old paper filter is gone and you have this wonderful 3 stage filter instead that traps everything efficiently while emptying pretty easily. You can even wash them.
A really neat thing is that the unit has onboard tools. There's a crevice tool and a brush tool. They are cleverly engineered to tuck into the unit without being in the way or falling off, and they pop on to the business end of the machine very easily.
I just can't tell you what a nice product this is. I'm hoping that it's rechargeable battery lasts through many chargings and that I can enjoy using the unit for many years. It's a winner.
