The muffler that I needed

Exactly what it should be.

Nice inexpensive case. Fits very nicely, with all openings where there should be openings. Buttons work nicely through the case as well.

Yakima Standard Kayak Carrier - Single Kayak-For Use With No Racks

Serves its purpose admirably

The Yakima Standard Kayak Carrier (now discontinued apparently) fills its purpose nicely. There are several other similar kits out there, but I sought this one out specifically due to its design vs. the others. In particular, this kit has straps for the front and rear, rather than the rope used in some other kits. It also has a single strap going through the car, instead of two. Finally, the foam blocks strap directly to the kayak, which in my mind seems more reliable than merely sandwiching them between the kayak and car top. So far I have transported two kayaks on my Camry; an 11' boat that's rather tall, and a 10' boat with a lower profile. Both were nice and secure on the car, and on my most recent trip I found myself more concerned with the bikes on the trunk rack than the kayak on top. I have not braved the highway for long distances yet, but I suspect it would be just fine. Do give each of the straps some twist, to avoid unpleasant vibrations and wind noise.
