the Stranger on the Road to Emmaus
This is my pastor's favorite book, and after reading it, I now see why. This book clearly explains the main themes and ideas in the Bible in an easy, readable format. It presents Bible dcotrine in logical topics and gives a very concise overview that is easy to understand. I highly recommend it for personal understanding or to help in explaining Bible themes to others.

Great daily Bible!
This Bible is divided into 365 daily readings so that you can read through the entire Bible in one year. Each day generally has 2 chapters from the Old Testament, a few verses from Proverbs, a short passage from Psalms, and half a chapter from the New Testament. Included each day is a short commentary by John MacArthur. I have used several daily reading plans to read through the Bible in one year, and this is the one I have used the most. I highly recommend this Bible. If you're a Christian, take the challange to read through the whole Word of God to see what it holds for your life. If you're a Bible sceptic, take the challenge to read through the whole Bible so you actually know what it says, but ask God to show you truth as you read and He will.
