Nikon F Mount
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich I got this lens in the Nikon F mount, seems like a tank of a lens but the mirror on my Nikkormat and Nikon FG hits the back of the lens and scratches the mirror a little. At this point I decided not to try it on my F2, F4s, F90x, or N8008. It does seem to be functioning on my 2x teleconverter, but not film tested..

Great source of information for the "Nikon N8008, N8008s, F-801 and F801s".
I have been doing amateur photography for years and I have always stuck with old school cameras and techniques. I never had warmed up to the idea of auto exposure and auto focusing.
My wife had picked up a Nikon N70 body for me and it had been stored with my equipment for some time. I decided to acquire a used lens to finally give the system a go, getting a used lens from eBay. The lens I had won came with a camera (Sigma lens with a Nikon N8008).
To shorten the story I ended up liking the “Nikon N8008” more than the N70. A lot of options this camera has to give you but no direction. I acquired this publication from eBay and what a great source of information. This book seems to be written for the Nikon N8008/F-801 with pages added to the beginning
to cover the addition of spot metering and focus tracking that was added to the N8008s / F801s.
This book covers everything you need to know, if you want to learn the Nikon N8008, N8008s, F-801 or F-801s, this book is for you.

A low cost camera with "Leica Glass"
The truth is this….. I always wanted a “Leica” but didn’t want to pay a “Leica Price”. I took a chance on buying this camera by the name on the box “Leica”. This camera is made in China by I don’t know who, but it does have Leica glass in it, I had purchased this camera new still in the box for a reasonable price. I was set back a little when I received the item in the box and the print on the box stated “Distributed By Leica”, not “Made By Leica” or "Made For Leica".
The camera is a light weight aluminum and plastic construction. It came with a wrist strap and hard plastic case. I was impressed with the case design because of the rubber padded supports within the case. I find the buttons a little awkward but manageable. The weak points for this camera in my opinion would be the longevity of the control and shutter buttons. They just seem to lack quality.
The auto focusing and zoom controls worked very well and the auto exposure worked fine in all light conditions other than bright light which it seemed to over expose up to 2 stops blowing out detail. When in bright (sunny beach) light I reduce the exposure. It would be nice if it was threaded for filters like the Contax Tvs.
The lens was very high contrast in brighter light, I got some really nice shots….
Just a note…. I have only used this camera with “Black And White” film….
I would suggest this camera to a friend as long as this friend understood the limits of this camera.
