A compelling read
Michael Ondaatje weaves a tale of wartime realism around the stories of the characters giving the reader an intimate look into the lives of those who survived the aftermath of pain and destruction. Through his poetry and insight the author takes us from a lonely and unimaginable place to one of redemption and renewed hope.

Heartwarming.
A classic movie with all the elements a satisfying story should have.
