An excellent book about this subject
A fascinating and well written book by a highly regarded researcher and Ufologist. An interesting glimpse into a very controversial story which may be the subject of a conspiracy or cover up.

An excellent study of Peter Beard's photography and collage work
A fabulous book for people interested in Peter Beard's photographic collages, diaries and experiments in photography from the 70's to the present day. The book is huge and heavy! It retaills for about £45 (Foyles book shop, London) but I found this copy on ebay for only £28. This is an incredible bargain folks. Beard's collages feed off his wildlife photography and incorporate human/animal blood, offal, bones, skulls, stones and smears of paint. Endlessly inventive and magical, this book is a document of the extraordinary range of his work with some autobiographical details and pictures included. Fold-out sections of his collages are very well produced. Lavishly illustrated in full colour throughout on fine glossy paper, this book is full of marvels and horror. A great visual book.

A seminal work, poorly printed and overly expensive.
An interesting, seminal work on psychotic art as it was perceived and understood in the early 1920's by Hans Prinzhorn. The text is overly verbose in parts and veers off into too much digression and bewildering biographical detail. When he comes to evaluate the art works he is descriptive about the pieces that fascinate him but skips some very enigmatic pieces all too glibly. The book makes for a quasi-interesting read bearing in mind it was written almost 100 years ago in a high-falutin style of prose. However, this is not backed up by the illustrations which are of very poor quality as they are facsimiles of the original 1920's black and white photos. They appear fuzzy and indistinct and offer little insight or illumination, especially where colour is the main aspect of the discussed art work. The same goes for the cover of this book - the image illustrated is out of focus when compared with identical examples online. The book is a low quality print run yet retails at almost £20.00 which is not good value for this very poor quality.
