Excellent as advertised - Ceramic is better

These clippers are excellent. They are quiet, smooth, and the long cord definitely comes in handy with an Aussie. These clippers are so quiet, two of our dogs actually laid down while I was trimming them. In the regret department however, I must say that I wish that I would have gone with the ceramic cutter and blades. The Ultra-Edge are nice, but without the cooling spray, they heat up after a while and you have to quit. I purchased the ceramic cutters and blades as an add on, and the heat was diminished greatly. These are great clippers, you really can't go wrong. But if you do have a dog that will take a while to trim, you may want to consider the ceramic version from the outset.
