  These are advertised at tea cups and they are demitasse cups which are half the size of teacups. It beleive it was an honest mistake by the seller. Demitasse cups are less expensive than the vintage teacups. The seller did offer to refund my money and 1/2 the shipping but I decided to keep them. I was going to use them at a ladies' teaparty coming up but now I'll will use them as table decorations and put votive electric tealights in them..
