Really addictive books by this author.
Couldn't put this book down. This author knows how to write, to keep it mysterious enough and wanting you to know more and more and more and to get to the bottom of the mystery. Really enjoyed it. Might be triggering for some people though. As involves young kids and bullying etc

Nice book but not the story for me.
I'd seen alot of hype about this book on certain websites and I'd seen certain quotes from it that I thought seemed pretty amazing but when I read it, it wasn't as good as I expected unfortunately. It's a lovely story of a teenager in the 1970's becoming a man and a hippie and going off finding himself. The descriptions of the places and the people etc are very good but what I thought let it down was the way the characters spoke to each other, it was written quite weird, people don't talk to each other like that, when your having a conversation with someone, you don't state their name in every sentence. I found that quite annoying and I found it quite slow. Unfortunately I didn't actually finish it. I just couldn't, it wasn't a book 'i couldn't put down'. Obviously this is my opinion and this was obviously not the book for me but for other people with similar experiences, maybe this would be a great read for them!
