Excellent piece of kit, serious bang for buck.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this for my D40x as it was meant to have such good image quality for such a low price tag. It lives up to it's legacy too, not only providing fantastic close ups but best-of-all the manual focusing on it is such a pleasure that you're usually better off using it over AF unless your shooting at distance, but even then MF is still a pleasure and takes very little time indeed. I upgraded to a D80 recently and use this lens for that too and still I love to MF over AF, and the image quality has improved again! I saw some purple fringing on the D40x but this has totally gone now. I HIGHLY recommend this lens. Easily me best lens, with results that always feel good to show off. The bokeh is the best thing about it, but every aspect is nice.

Good for increasing rear end confidence
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Minor improvements but also very subtle downsides. Most people wouldn’t know this was installed even if they drove it to the garage and then away unless you told them. Mostly it’s in the stability and predictability of the rear end, increasing confidence. Some slight transmission of road noise, but tyres are far more significant and again it’s very subtle. I would recommend plus it’s one of the easiest most accessible bushes to change over.
