Used this newer 10ns SRAM chip to replace the old 100ns PSRAM installed on the first revision of the Mega Drive. Not only does it increase performance in some very specific scenarios, it also fixes a VDP refresh bug that happened due to an oversight by Sega when designing these systems. VA0 and VA1 were affected. After installing this memory kit, Red Zone no longer rebooted on the opening intro FMV.

Powerful little chip for an old workhorse laptop
Had an old 2006 Toshiba laptop with a first gen Core Duo CPU that barely reached 2Ghz and had no support for VT-x or EM64T. After some extensive research and BIOS disassembly I managed to determine that this was the very best model that would fit the laptop's Socket M. After downloading a service manual from the internet I managed to painfully disassemble and reassemble with the new chip. The BIOS, updated to its latest 2008 revision, recognized the new CPU just fine and booted no problem. Of course, since the laptop was never originally designed with this CPU make in mind it had some quirks. The option to enable NX-bit disappeared from the "Advanced" tab and there was no way to toggle VT-x. Using CPU-Z I found that, fortunately, both features were enabled regardless of the BIOS's bugs. Now this laptop is the oldest device that can "technically" run Windows 11 😁 Overall would recommend for anyone who wants to breathe new life into an old machine and is willing to do the necessary research beforehand.
