Lots of memories here...
If you grew up watching the perennial animated Christmas specials, chances are you'll really enjoy this CD. Lots of songs from the Rankin-Bass specials, Charlie Brown, and the Grinch; all just the way you remember them; with vocals by Jimmy Durante (who doesn't like him?), Burl Ives, Mickey Rooney, and an uncredited Thurl Ravenscroft (the voice of "Tony the Tiger") singing "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch."

Excellent quality sleeves
These sleeves are exceptionally transparent, and easy to insert or remove the record and jacket. And they make the records look dandy!

Good collection of old TV themes
These recordings of 1950's TV themes are an authentic period item, originally released on vinyl in the 50's by the Tops budget label, and commanding high prices in that original form. "Richard Gleason" is probably a pseudonym, the credits show veteran jazz hand Dave Pell as being in charge.
Because of this, you hear real musicians playing real instruments, not "synth" recreations as on some other TV theme albums. All the arrangements are at least competent and some much better than that. I particularly enjoyed the versions of "Leave It To Beaver" and "Perry Mason" here. The "Alfred Hitchcock" theme, played in a jazzy style, is another interesting track.
I enjoyed this disc, and feel it would make a good addition to any collection of TV theme-related albums.
