2 units failed after 2 weeks of use in a humid environment
Not a bad product for how much it costs. However I was using 2 of them at a lodge near the Amazon river and eventually both units flaked out after about 2 weeks of use. My guess is the humidity might have gotten to them. They would flicker on and off when they failed, and then eventually wouldn't work at all. Changing batteries didn't help.

So far the Gatorskins have been really good for me.
Previously I'd been using the Armadillo tires. They've been good through the years in greatly reducing punctures. These Gatorskins were less expensive and so far have been great with no punctures or problems. So far they have been really good.
Was a little concerned about using a folded tire for the first time, but no problems with that.

Worked well in the Amazon Rain Forest
We were headed to a project in the Amazon Rain Forest in Peru and out people who'd been there previously recommended bringing a fan for sleeping at night. I brought this fan and used it on the low setting and it worked great. It uses large D-size batteries that last a long time and I didn't have to use my spare batteries. Worked well for me, a good product.
