Low expectations with pleasant suprises.
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich I'm an older metal head (48) and a long time fan from their first offering and to me Metallica just wasn't the same after Master of Puppets and I stopped listening all together after Load. Having said that, I took a chance on Death Metallic and Hardwired with very pleasant surprises. To these ears they both sounded more like the Metallica of old, with more mature playing and arrangements without being overly produced with some songs running longer (which is, for me, a good thing) without being too complicated or running too long (even better). The sounds have a nice balance of being thick and heavy without being too sludgy or muffled. They both sounded great and for the first time in a looooong time I am giving a new (to me) Metallica disk a second and third listen.
