First and best
Yes, yes I know John Fahey, Davey Graham and John Renbourn to name but three pushed at the boundaries of fingerpicking guitar before Kottke but this is his first and best work. He does what it says on the sleeve. 6 & 12 string guitars played with boggling technique, lyricism and melodic invention. A good transfer to CD too compared to the vinyl original (I bought it on release in 1969). American primitive guitar with some pzazz and a bit of Bach for good measure. Essential listening.

Inaudible noise floor, very good transparent and neutral sound reproduction.
