Good holding power

Good holding power. I stuck it to the slippery sidewall of my gun safe without permanently screwing it into the safe wall. The magnet had a tendency to slide down with a gun on it, but I noticed that the metal plate on the back of the magnet is not permanently attached. (The plate apparently is optional and is held in place just by magnetism). After I removed the plate, there was more resistance to sliding and the gun held to the wall just fine.
