Poor quality plastic used for hub cover/cap.
Rims use poor quality plastic for hub cover/cap. Cracks and causes cap to depart from rim. Originally thought it was due to over tightening of cab retention bolts. There is no spec or instruction from dealer or vendor about what torque setting you should use to attach fasteners to hold cap on to rim with. As such the poor plastic quality leads to fracture and failure of cap and its departure from the rim. Found two on the roadside with broken out attachment points.
