A great bio on one of my favorite authors!
Beverly Cleary is such a wonderful author and person. I was suprised at her upbringing, it was such a different time period she grew up in. While she doesn't sugar coat it, she brings to life this time and place....so less complicated then today. In my mind she's a down to earth hero.
I enjoyed reading her autobiograhy and thank you for having it available.

Seth Speaks; The Eternal Validity of the Soul
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich This book is so mind boggling that I have to take it in small doses. It's incredible, I can't help but feel that it truly wasn't written by a human being....I mean it's just too, the concepts are so new, different, something I don't believe the most creative person could have thought up. While my 'comfort blankets' have been torn away and yeah, I feel a little in-"unnerved by it~ Seth has also managed to replace it with assurances. Our (or mine at least) of Jesus and God are pushed aside but new ideas of who and what these 'concepts' are in our limited understanding are brought forward and give us new food for a lot of contemplation. Hate to tell ya but church has not done so much for me. It's also interesting that when I thought of a question, in the next chapter I received an answer. I was thinking ~"I'm I so taken with this material because I dislike my life now that I need to believe that there will be another existence waiting for me that will be better?" Seth basically explained, in a nutshell--- "if ya don't like this life, you won't like any plane of existence!" I have such respect for books and this was such a pristine copy that I didn't want to highlight or ear mark pages but that went to the wayside. There are so many concepts that need to be reread and talked about with anyone I can find who would love to talk about this too awesome interesting material.
