True, exciting, thought provoking -------
The compelling story of a young English lad who was taken as a slave by the indigenous Nootka tribe on Vancouver Island at "Friendly Cove". It is an early glimpse at how poorly these tribes were treated by fur traders and how, on rare occasion they would fight back. In the several years that young John Jewitt was their slave, he not only became close to Maquinna, the chief of the tribe, but even married into the tribe. Maquinna valued John's capabilities as a metal worker and had him fashion weapons for him. The book is beautifully drawn and the tale unfolds perfectly under Ms. Goldfield's talented hand. Recommended !

Bing !Bang ! Ain't it fun !!
If only for the "Poem of Chinese Drums" this album is amazing ! This is probably one of the greatest CDs available to show off your audio rig. The boom of a huge bass drum, hard sticks creating the effect of a rainstorm and other delights await the listener. I heard this first on a highly regarded album made available from Burmester Audio, a German company that manufactures high-end audio equipment. A real treat ! Buy it !!

Worth every penny !
Exact copy of the expensive German original. It fit perfectly and seems to be of the same quality. at less than 1/4 the price, it seems like a great deal !
