Excellent Engrossing Excitement
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This game has a rich story and comes with a free downloadable expansion mission. I am recommending it because it works well on my computer (64-bit Vista) and the music is very spacey.

Good quality switches.
These are a good value only if you need them in a hurry. Otherwise, they can be purchased from China at under half the price.

Good for the maker willing to make some modifications
6 von 6 finden das hilfreich This is a great first printer for a new hobbyist like me. There are several forums and groups that are actively sharing info about this printer and it's twin: the Wanhao Duplicator i3. To make this a good, safe printer, I feel a few modifications are MANDATORY, and a few are nice to have.
_MANDATORY_
First of all, there is a safety modification on the circuit board that needs to be made. The hotbed and power connectors have terminals that have been overheating and the plastic on the terminal has been catching on fire for several owners. To fix this problem, either new terminals need to be soldered to the board, or the power wires need to be directly soldered to the board.
Next, the rigidity of the frame in the areas that try to hold the Y-carriage belt needs stiffening up. This can be done by printing out a mod found on Thingiverse.
_NICE TO HAVE_
* Adding Z-braces (another mod on thingiverse) further increases rigidity and stability.
* Adding a larger cooling fan to the back of the control box helps remove heat, especially from that hotbed MOSFET that gets warm.
* Adding a glass bed (and moving the z-stop switch) helps with getting prints to stick.
Other things that can be done are:
* Removing the extruder motor and using a remote extruder.
* replacing the Y-carriage plate for a stiffer one
* replacing the noisy Y-carriage bearings with longer or better quality ones.
