i use this fan, it is a 4 pin
it runs a little louder at 0.16666A (1A/6) than the standard NF-P12 (NF-P12 run at 0.2A (1A/5), while the NF-P12 at 0.1A is super quiet) but when encased in a box...is not too noticeable. it isn't silent but with enough soundproofing, that could change. i run it without PWM using only the yellow +12V and the black ground (american, red/positive to yellow and black/negative to black) (blue is RPM signal, green is RPM speed signal, but you will probably only use the 4-pin connectors anyway)

raspberry pi
i run the raspberry pi on a 5inch attachable screen. it isn't fast or slow. i clicked "no" to the question "Is it fast?" because it isn't fast like a standard laptop, or like a desktop (which is faster than a laptop of course). it is seemingly fast for the size of it. it boots mathematica with some wait, which seems to take a standard load time of any other program on a standard computer. oddly though the values on the 3D plot are sometimes not shown. i think there is some bug with mathematica, i don't think it's the pi. i got this to run mathematica free and make a library/reference/notebook for science and calculations. i recommend getting some backups of the operating system, and recommend you DONT shut it down by pulling the power cord, as i was "hard shutdown"ing it by pulling the plug and my operating system would only boot to the text/terminal. there is a button on the top left corner, or open up the terminal (black screened computer icon on the above tool bar), and type (without " ") "shutdown -h now", or "sudo -h shutdown now", try without sudo (super user do operation), the password is raspberry (don't forget the p) and the user is pi. peace
