Ralph McTell - Silver Celebration (CD 1992)
For those of us who know and love the music and songs of Ralph McTell, this is a disc which will please. Recorded back in 1992, the songs come back fresh and warm. 'Stranger to the Seasons' is particularly poignant in this current period of financial and social difficulties. As ever, Ralph has a finger on the pulse of the nation and his words reflect the apparently uncaring attitude of our politioians towards the working man and the hardships he faces. This song ranks highly on the social comment scale and can be compared with his 'Streets of London' in awakening us all to what goes on around us. The recording is first quality and is highly recommended. If you can find a copy - buy it!
