Corrosion on pins
The valves have been stored in damp conditions in the past, as is evident from the damp mark on the package. The valve pins had corrosion ( verdigris) near where it passes through the glass.
I did my best to scrape it off , but if a pin corrodes there, the rust will expand causing the valve to lose its vacuum and become gassy. Knowing this now, I doubt that I would have bought them.
I don't know how long they last?
