It's more like a thick pamphlet than a book
The content is reasonably well organized and covers a broad collection of materials and techniques within its scope. However, it lacks consistency in its presentation of these materials and techniques. This gives the book a bit of a patchwork feel, and in practical terms reduces one's ability to draw competitive analysis from the content. Some of the material is presented with such little depth as to send one to other sources for useful narrative, but as a travel sized collection of information on an uncommon topic it is perhaps unparaleled.

Technically accurate description but unusable for transmitting.
The ad claimed a VSWR less than 1.5. While it did technically achieve this, it was only true for a tiny sliver of the 2 meter band (145.9MHz to 146.3MHz). Outside of this range the VSWR spiked up dramatically to dangerous levels unsuitable for transmitting. I have never seen such a narrowly defined notch in a 2m antenna The antenna would be fine for scanner use, RX only, but it is mostly unusable as an amateur radio HT antenna. It does seem physically well constructed, so if you only care about this tiny portion of the band I suppose its an option.
