Best bang for the buck 4/3 long zoom
This is an exceptional lens for the money you pay compared to other brands. Very good to excellent IQ, sometimes slow to focus on long end but usually very accurate. Lens performance varies by which body it is attached to but in general it works best with IS cameras since the lens does not have internal stabilization.
Highly recommended for a good general purpose lens with a phenominal zoom range.

Good general purpose lens for Sony "A-mount" cameras.
Good general purpose lens for Sony ILCA-99M2 and original Sony SLT-99. Since it has an electric driven SAM motor for focus, it is well suited for video recording as it is nearly silent. This lens was provided in a kit on the initial release of the Sony SLT-A99V. It is currently mounted on my Sony ILCA-99M2 being generally well suited for non-critical casual use. For professional work the more expensive alternatives would be better.
The lens is relatively light weight being particularly well balanced on full frame Sony "A" series cameras. It performs well on Sony APS cameras such as the Sony SLT-A77V and newer model.
Many reviews describe the lens as being almost identical to the Tamron f2.8 28-75 2003 version but it is not screw driven focus as that lens. The Tamron is a very good lens as I also have it mounted on a Sony SLT-A99 camera but not as well suited for video recording when using auto focus due to sound of screw driven focus motor.

Best value available in "Mini-DSLR" category
7 von 8 finden das hilfreich This is a terrific little camera which has incredible image quality. The macro function is superb yielding fine detail and vivid colors. Compared to other cameras in this price and shape (mini-DSLR) category, the Fuji S700 has the best IQ, ergonomics, screens, and user interface of the bunch. I have taken over 1,000 pictures with the camera on two vacations and at local attractions under all kinds of lighting and exposures with excellent results in all instances. I have the Fuji S9000 camera and the S700 takes sharper pictures with a better lens through all focal ranges! I highly recommend it as a must have photography tool in you possession. Here is a link to some macro pictures I took with this camera.
