Controls equipment over long distances.
Two of these units arrived in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Connecting them to the router was a simple process after downloading the eWeLink app on to my phone. I placed each one in plastic box and they now control the on/off switch of a computer and a storage water heater at a holiday home 120kms from where I normally live. eWeLink handles the control without the need for port forwarding in the remote router. I can turn the hot water on prior to travelling and use the computer remotely without needing it to be running full time. The inching function allows it to emulate a push switch (I set it to 1 second) and by wiring the Sonoff contactor to the on/off contacts of the computer switch on the desktop computer, it controls it as if it was pushed.
I have just ordered another two because I can see they'll come in handy for future use..

Good value torch, but a challenge to NZ purchasers
Virtually all these torches from China have US fittings (9/16-18 unf). In New Zealand and Australia the connection are 5/8-18 UNF. There are converters available locally, but they are designed for torches with a male connector whereas the torch hoses on this product have female fittings. A US hose joiner will solve this problem if you want to connect this torch to NZ Acetylene/propane and oxygen bottles along with the converter fitting which are available for local suppliers. Perhaps the Chinese suppliers of these torches might consider selling the 9/16 male to male hose joiners as freight from the US to NZ cost more than the item. The torch works well for intricate light brazing using Propane and oxygen.

Ideal camera for Quadcopter photography
Why did I buy this product? - Having been introduced to Quadcopters for about a year, I've finally got one to fly well enough to trust it with a camera. The camera needed to be reasonably light in weight, be able to be strapped below the craft and not bulky. As I was interested in taking still pictures rather than movies, it needed to be capable of taking multiple photos in high definition with a time delay between each photo. Having already lost a Gopro camera on an earlier quadcopter which was lost at sea, I was looking for something reasonably priced in case disaster struck again.
The Bullet HD Pro seemed to fit this criteria and I have not been disappointed with it. The picture quality is good in a variety of daylight situations and has a wide field of vision especially from a height of 30-50m, though the fish-eye effect is a little disconcerting. The photo edges black out at the corners, but cropping with an photo editor fixes those that I want to preserve. To me that is the only annoying feature. The camera bullet shape helps maintain the centre of gravity of the craft and the weight is no handicap to the flying ability. It takes still photos every 3 seconds and has performed flawlessly. Mounting the camera under the battery eliminated any "shake" or "jello" effect and the photos are sharp in definition. I tested it out in movie mode and the quality looked pretty good, but that is not what I purchased it for and I keep it in picture mode. The instruction sheet with the camera I bought was in fairly small size print. One instruction I missed initially was how to connect the camera to a PC (with attached USB cable) to view the pictures or videos on the SIM card. The switch must be set to video mode to get the PC to recognise the camera, otherwise the camera with the switch set to picture just goes into charge mode.
Do I consider it value for money? The answer is Yes.
