Capstar works great for what it is intended to do,but its not a cure-all.

This stuff works well however it's not meant to be a long term maintenance plan. The Capstar pills will kill the current adult fleas ON the dog as soon as an hour after taking the pill. It does not kill the flea eggs or fleas that are harbored around the pets living area. This medication is just one piece to a successful flea eradication. This is the first piece, followed by flea drops or a monthly flea tablet such as Comfortis. A critical step is to treat the bedding area and yard where the pet lives. Regular bathing is also required to wash off any flea eggs accrued a long the way and for general sanitation.
