Does what it says
What can I say? It's a masking plate. If you don't use your tom mount and you don't like the way the mount looks, this is what you need. Like the other review states, it is thin and flimsy. You would think that they would make it a thicker plate but it is what it is. Your only other option is to re-wrap your drum or get a virgin drum.

Excellent mixer plus audio interface for recording!
I bought this for my studio as an interface but have used one for live gigs. It is not as warm as my Allen and Heath analog mix wizard but nothing a little EQ won’t fix. By the way the EQ is built in along with compression, gates and effects. USB out to any computer with a DAW or straight to my iPad recording on GarageBand. It gives you 18 separate tracks to record. Still getting the hang of it but love it. If you want warmer preamps, go with the Midas version. It’s only $500 more.

Sounds great!
I have got accustomed to the crisp sound of these cymbals. I have bought some “vintage sounding” cymbals to play some classic rock but love the bright, crisp sound of the AAX Explosions!
