I fastened the carrier onto my vfr the night before I made sure it was secure and assumed the key latch wouldn't lock until in position and locked I checked it again vigorously the next morning and set off on my 10 mile journey to work .
When I arrived at work the box was missing I retraced my journey and found it at the side of the road approximately 6 miles from home all battered but still in one piece ,Then after examining the catch plate found it was damaged when the box came off.So to confirm the box is rugged but the catch plate is inferior
