A cheap affair.
Not well made. It will do the job, for now, but I'll replace it with something decent second hand, when it turns up.

The money you save becomes a poor rate of pay for the work you have to do.
Everything is crummy. The blade is nicked and dull, the castings are unfinished, the machined surfaces are pitted and uneven. Out of the box, it wouldn't plane a wax candle, let alone any kind of wood. It took me two hours of grinding, filing, straightening, fixing, and adjusting to get it to do anything useful. Draper used to be a respected name, but I won't be buying anything from them again after this.
