Most of the job is DIY, no real special tools needed except VAGCOM.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Proper VW part in a VW box.
Easy to fit the unit BUT finding the right connector to plug it in to can be the issue.
In my case lots of hanging under the dash did not reveal the plug.
Following the instructions and taking the whole fuse and relay board off didn't give an immediate solution either.
Cutting the Zip tie that holds the huge cludge of wires back there together then pulling it all apart revealed the plug. It was fiddly but not complex or difficult.
Reassembly was straight forward.
It took someone with a full computer diagnostic to switch the thing on the instructions would be idiot proof with a proper VW Vagom but it is perfectly possible using Rosstech.
