The top standard for drum cases
Hardcase 14S standard snare drum case. The standard that all other cases aspire to.
Totally solid, can take the knocks of touring.
Three-strap closure maintains the rigidity of the case and clamps the drum in place inside.
Loses a star for the somewhat useless foam pads inside - upgrade to proper closed-cell foam lining and the case will work for drums down to 5in depth and last forever.
The only thing better would be a full flight case to avoid the drum inside taking the load of items stacked on top.

Top Protection for Your Drums
Hard Case products are the standard protection for your drums and stands - the only thing better would be a flight case.
If you're not loading and transporting your own gear, you need something which can take the knocks. Hard Case cases fit the drums well and really look after them.
One minor criticism - the foam pads inside the unlined cases are pretty flimsy and they damage and fall off easily - if you're listening, Hard Case people, you could do better.
