Not your grandparents Pilgrims
According to my wife, who teaches History, this is a very accurate telling of the early American settlers. This is probably NOT what you learned in school.
It is in 2 long parts, but some versions say that there are 4 episodes... There are not 4, just 2. But that is the complete "series".
Parents: A few "swear words" in the first 30 minutes, and some violence throughout, but would qualify for a PG rating, I would think.
Very educational. I would recommend it for anyone. Would be a good thing to watch before Thanksgiving!

A must watch film.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich A must see classic. I don't want to over sell it, but it is a very good story with exceptional actors - all men - as my wife pointed out. Very well done.
No bad language, no sex, no violence ... How a great film can be.

Rods best performance?
I've been a fan of Sir Rod for four decades now and have thought that I had heard and seen it all from him. What a pleasant surprise this was. I would put this right up there some of his all time best albums. Sir Rod is still in fine voice, the production is possibly the best of any of his albums, and the songs... well, you know the songs!
NOTE: Try to seek out the CD/DVD combo where you get 3 bonus songs and a DVD with a few songs from his Christmas show. It's well worth the extra few dollars.
