The recipes are varied, including Indian fare (samosas, curry), Jewish favorites (kugel), even "hippie" delights, designed to be accesible even to beginning cooks. The handdrawn illustrations are lovely and encourage leisurely browsing. A welcome addition to any kitchen, vegetarian or not!
