Solid Value
VP makes great value pedals. This is a ten-pin aluminum pedal with a concave BMX shape. It’s not super thin but not thick either, and has a good strong cup and cone axle. Comes with reflectors even! Strong, pretty good grip, good price.

Strong, high quality
Pletscher makes high quality stuff. Add-on kickstands are basic items but this one is sturdier than the common single-leg models, and easier to adjust to the correct length. Has a bigger footprint too so sinks less when stood in dirt and gravel. For a light touring load- less than 50 lbs total - this is the cheapest decent option.

Good spare
Needed a good c-rated spare and this works well.
