Great historical action viewing - recommended!
I have watched all the Vikings series on tv and enjoyed them. Great if you like historical action movies/programs which I do. The characters are well portrayed, and the events are based on actual history.
But some were watched abroad when I was on holiday, including this one, Series 3. The picture quality there was SD - not High Definition, and the sound quality wasn't too good.
I have bought blu-ray dvds of Series 1-4 on ebay (I've yet to get Series 5), and I'm working my way through them. I'm halfway through watching Series 3. I usually watch one episode daily. I am getting far more from the HD and I listen on headphones so I get more from the soundtrack too.
I will be watching these again in the future.
The item was described as 'like new' but it when it arrived the disc case was still in the cellophane wrapper so it is actually new and unused.
Anyone who likes historical action movies like Troy, Robin Hood, Of Gods and Kings, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven should watch the Vikings series,

Disappointing
I had known a little about this incident in WW2, mainly from the film Jaws. I read the reviews on here before buying, which seemed to be divided between good and bad, but thought I should judge for myself. I do like Nicholas Cage, war films, and sharks.
Unfortunately the bad reviews seemed to be accurate. The 'leaping' sharks were ok - I have seen this on wildlife documentaries, sharks do leap out of the water when hunting prey like seals.
But the storyline and acting were disappointing. They failed to keep my attention, and I almost gave up. The obligatory love story was a waste of film time.
The only real interest for me was the aftermath, with the military cover up and scapegoating of the captain, which I did not know about , and was sad to learn about.
Obviously some people did like this film so I suppose it's a matter of personal taste, but I'm glad that I didn't pay much to watch it.

Good water based masonry paint
I needed a small tin of white masonry paint for one window sill.. DIY stores only had large tins.
I found this online. I've given the sill four coats and still have over half the tin left, which I will keep to paint sill again in Spring.
I like that it is water based so it was easy to clean brush in running water.
