Good value for money
I tend to believe that you get what you pay for - so I didn;t expect a top quality, long lasting strut. But the car is nearing its last legs so no point in installing struts that will last forever. So value for money became the biggest issue and the struts certainly met that criteria.

Confusion about part numbers and changes of the early MX5s
It appears (I'm still trying to sort it out) that the relay is wired differently for different markets (ie, USA vs Japanese) OR that the the relay was changed in later NA models. The parts manual lists the relay as OEM part numbers B46267740 and B46267740A.. This implies a difference - which seems to be an extra diode - but It seems as if the wiring of the plug changes too. Very frustrating, but not the fault of the supplier.
The part seems to be of good quality.

What I expected, but packaging needs to be strengthened - to avoid minor damage to inlet and outlet pipes - I have reported to suppliers.
