This is an extraordinary book. Doheny was amazing
I dislike the oil industry; the destruction of the environment and the devastation of the lives of the people who live in the oil rich areas of the world. I did not think I would like Edward L Doheny as much I do. The more I read about him the more I began to admire him. His vision was to use oil to solve our energy needs. Now we need someone like him to find an alternative to oil. I highly recommend the book to anyone who loves knowing how we got to were we are today. A most excellent read!

Lovely Barrette
This barrette is really lovely. It is hand stamped with a beautiful pattern, done with a skill that is not very common these days. The sterling silver part is thin enough to be very comfortable to wear. It does not pull my hair nor is it so heavy that it slowly moves throughout the day. This barrette has quickly become a personal favorite. Although it is a one of a kind, if you search and pay attention to how much a barrette weighs, you can find one just a perfect as this one is for me.

Wasted time
A friend recommended this film to me so I bought a copy of it. That is 90-plus minutes of my life I will never get back. I found none of the characters were likable, much like the Seinfeld cast. These people were all so loathsome, yet I kept watching the film hoping that they would turn out to be better than they were. They didn't improve. I would never recommend this film to anybody unless they want to torture themselves by watching people who are totally repugnant. I spent most of the film hoping these awful people's karma shock them into a better reality. Didn't happen.
