Mullard tubes never disappoint. Something special.
I have owned tube amps of all price ranges and name brands you all recognize for the the last 30 years. Mullard IMO makes the best sounding tubes. My Dr Z has never sounded better or had more power/articulation. The problem today is that people expect to get similar tone from modeling amps or other digital versions of amps. There is no substitute for a tube amp miked up in a good room played at loud volume. I've played on scores of recordings and played with some of the biggest studio guys to grace the walls of LA/Nashville studios. I am pretty happy with tube amps in general, they all make a little noise, but in the mix, there is nothing better.
