It's a Wonderful Release
Now I have only used the Blu Ray parts of this set so far. As I currently write this review, I don't have a 4K Blu Ray player. That being said the Blu Rays in this set was excellent. This is my first time owning these wonderful Peanut Holiday Specials. The last time I even owned these specials was back when it was on VHS. Even if I didn't have VHS copies of these specials any more, throughout the years I would watch them on TV. Although in recent years as of now they're only available in select streaming services. So it was time for me to own these specials so I can watch them any time and for years to come.
That being said, these specials are absolute classics. Almost every generation of Americans grew up watching them and to this day it's still being passed on for a whole new generation. These specials are simple, but that's what makes them so appealing. The music for them is excellent and all of the characters are unforgettable.
Now for the Blu Rays themselves, the picture quality is beautiful and it has the original aspect ratio of 4:3. Just like how it has always been seen on TV. The sound is good too. I can only imagine what the 4k Blu Rays of these would have to offer, because the Blu Rays themselves are fantastic. The Blu Rays also offer other little specials that not many people know about or have seen. At least it's like that for me. There's some behind the scenes of the making of these holiday specials. I'm always interested to see how movies and TV shows are being made and this is no exception.
Overall I would say this is definitely worth having in your collection. I definitely have no regret buying this for my own collection.
