I love this camera.
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich I bought this camera as a replacement for the older model, the HP PhotoSmart R707, which was stolen at a family outing. It is basically the same as the R707, but there are a few control buttons that were moved to be easier to reach.
I needed the same model, as just the camera got stolen and I have all these accessories. The new one fits the old accessories just fine.
Taking pictures is a snap (sorry for the pun). I love all the features, even though I don't use them all. The panorama shots are wonderful, and the software automatically zips them together seamlessly. The results are beautiful.
You can add a sound snippet to a photo, and also take video.
Unloading the pictures to the computer is also easy with the software provided. I put the camera in the dock (not included in this package), press the button to connect, say Yes, and voila, the pictures get downloaded to my computer.
When we shopped for the old one, my hubby wanted one that was small enough to fit unobtrusively in a pocket, have a decent sized screen, and I required 6 MP with decent features. We got all our wishes. This is now my 3rd HP camera (upgraded the 1st, 2nd was stolen), and I love them.
You need to evaluate your wants and desires, and determine how much camera you can afford. Go to stores and look at similar models, get the feel of them. Decide on a model, then come back to ebay and find one for a great price!
Nearly all digital cameras will be good for point-and-shoot pictures, and the quality of the pictures will depend greatly on who takes them.
The R717 is a great camera for a variety of snappers - those who experiment with the features, changing the setting to "sunset" to take a picture of the sunset, and those who turn it on, take a picture, and turn it off. My hubby and I are such a pair, so this is a great choice for us.
