Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters by Meg Meeker Review

I ended up reading it myself and found it compelling, inspiring and applicable even in my own role as a parent. Meg Meeker has a wealth of information, data and personal experiences from years of counseling teens that she brings to her readers. I found her personal stories very interesting and could relate them to adolescents in my own life. Dr. Meeker's broad range of scientific, objective and relevant data is, at times, shocking but essential for every parent to know.
After reading this book, I am convinced that a father is the most influential person in a girl's life. Dr. Meeker speaks of how society, media and culture minimize the role of fathers when exactly the opposite is true. Men are very different from women and teach our daughters about pragmatism, humility, integrity and courage. This is a great book to encourage men to step up and fulfill the strong parental role that children today so desperately need.
I am also convinced that much of what Dr. Meeker prescribes for fathers in raising strong, confident high-moraled daughters can be applied to both moms and dads in raising girls and boys, although many stories and situations are girl-related. I would recommend this book to anyone who has any interest in helping, encouraging or raising our youth of today.

Freeze 24-7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum Review
This is the only eye serum I have tried so far (and I have tried about a dozen) where I actually see results as soon as I put it on. I have bags and crows feet under my eyes. It seems to brighten the bags and lighten the crows feet. I can apply this serum close to my eyes without the threat of irritation. There is an ingredient that, when applied to my skin, makes my facial muscles feel relaxed. All I can say is that this is the closest thing to botox in a bottle!

Lancome Resolution D-Contraxol Intensive Anti-Wrinkle
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this cream because I generally like Lancome products and found it for a reasonable price on ebay. I have used this lotion approximately once or twice per day for 2-3 weeks.
I like the texture of the lotion. It is light and easily absorbed. I also like the scent. I have not had any problems with irritation or stinging in my eye area.
It does improve the look of my eye area slightly after applying, probably due to its much-needed moisturizing properties. Overall, however, I have not noticed a significant decrease in the lines around my eyes.
I would say that the cream is somewhat better than comprable products that can be found on drugstore shelves; however, I do not think it meets the standard I have found with other Lancome products or its claim of being an "intensive anti-wrinkle treatment."
