Brilliant introduction to the more complicated book.

I have been reading this book which is 1400 pages long so decided to buy the DVD. Excellent value for money and a good precis of the story. The story includes a lot of political stories as well as the main 'love' story, so is a good background for those not wishing to read the whole thing or for those not wanting to read the huge and heavy tome.

A terrific Ripping Yarn

Wonderful to see that these books are being reprinted in hardback with decent sized print for 'old' eyes. Only comment I would make and it is aimed at the publishers, I can't seen any reason why they should feel the need to print a trigger warning at the beginning of the new editions. Anyone reading Biggles will not be offended by any of the content. This is 'wokeness' gone too far. Just enjoy the stories as ripping yarns and accept that, that was the way things were when it was wirtten.

Well worth buying for fans for better quality recording

Initially saw this advertised on youtube. My husband has the cd bought many years ago but found the quality lacking. So he was willing to buy this, which seemed a bit expensive but in the end is worth it. The sound quality is so much better.
