Pentium D950 Delivers Great Performance Improvement with Minimum Cost

I bought this CPU to upgrade an IBM/Lenovo ThinkCentre M-8215 (MT/M-8215 D6U). I kept the same BIOS (2EKT46A). It runs as cool as previous CPU (Pentium 4 661 w/HT) with stock heat sink and 2 stock fans. This is the fastest processor with Dual Core the M-8215 can run per Lenovo web site. This processor runs 64-bit operating systems from XP Pro 64-bit Edition and newer with no problems. It is noticeably faster than the previous CPU.

Very fast, durable, but heavy laptop, with up to 10 hours on two batteries - one internal and one slice

Very fast, big screen, scores 3300 to 3700 with passmark performance test. Weighs about 8 pounds, but with both batteries it lasts 6-10 hours. Excellent price for this level of performance and durability. Easy to add more RAM. Easy to add mSATA drive (Up to 1 TB). Easy to Upgrade internal SSD 2.5 drive to 1 TB. Easy to add second battery slice (Adds 3-5 hours to running time). Can watch 3-5 full length DVD movies. Is very complete for laptop. Runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit without problems.
