After using other straightener (same brand) for over 8 years I decided I needed a change, I'm still not 100% sure or convinced which straighterners I like better - my old one was way heavier and you could touch the head of it while straightening your hair without burning yourself. This one is way more lightweight which means it just slips through your hair, you have to very careful not to touch anywhere near the head as it's very hot very quick and can burn easily. I started off with no 12 on temperature settings (they go up to 20) and it's spot on for my hair. It's a decent pair of straighterers - the fact that I paid half price for it helps a lot ;-)
