Good quality, but VERY fiddly
My old Honda CRV had factory-fitted roof rails so I was able to buy roof bars and top-box that very quickly clamped onto those, and I coild do the job myself.
When I replaced the car with a later-model CRV, I was disappointed that it only had screw-in fixings for roof-bars. That in itself is not Thule's fault, but I found the kit designed by Thule to fit their bars left a lot to be desired.
It basically consists of some short lengths of studding, some metal sleeves and some nuts and washers (along with a cheap allen wrench and spanner) to fix the bar-ends to the car. This takes a LOT of fiddly work up a step-ladder and all of the parts are loose, so very easy to drop down a drain, or to lose before they are needed next time. Fitting the bars on the mounting studs then takes two people to achieve.
I really miss the simplicity of my old clamp-on system. I realise that Thule have to design something to use the mounts provided by the car manufacturer, but I'm sure they could have come up with something a bit cleverer than this.

Useful addition to the existing one.
Very useful to replace the belt holder if you don't need that. Gives a second store for screwdriver bits (and any magnetic crap that comes along!)

Useful little gadget
I used this(in conjunction with a "piggy-back" fuse holder) to convert a VW Polo's cigarette lighter socket to only come on with the ignition.
For that job, I actually needed this to be a 'blown' fuse, so I had to deliberately overload it, to make it open circuit. For that reason (and guessing I, m not the only one to use it this way), I think it would be useful to be able to buy a version with no actual fuse link, just the wire tap to one side (or even both sides?) .
Also, maybe the wire is a little thin if you really were pulling 15Amp. The piggy-back fuse holder came with a much heavier guage cable attached.
Other than those suggestions, this is perfect for the job.
