A little smaller than expected, unfortunately.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a good lesson for anyone who mainly looks for rare art books like me unavailable at manageable prices apart from online shopping. Please do your own research on books you're unfamiliar with and look for reviews online to make sure you want what you're actually getting.
When I purchased this book at a rather high price, I was expecting a rather large, heavy book with glossy pages of just artwork. Instead, the pages are paper, and the book is slightly larger than a run-of-the-mill paperback novel (albeit with a very nice hard cover). The art, despite being printed on paper, looked really good but was rather small and thus fell a little short of my expectations. There were many descriptions in between the artworks, but rest assured, it's mostly artwork as advertised. Although, I still expected it to be printed on gloss paper or similar materials as other art books found of the market, so I was just a little disappointed.
Be that as it may, the book is still worth a purchase if you're a fan of Yamamoto's works, as the art and the product design is presented and done very beautifully.

Great book of mainly character concept art!
I've been a long time fan of the movie, and to be able to collect as many of the movie's merchandise makes me ecstatic, to say the least. It's a large book filled to the brim with character concept art (the black version caters to environment design) and storyboards. Being able to reminisce on the movie whilst looking through the treasure trove of sketches is an experience I'm sure any fan like me would appreciate, and this book provides that and so much more. This book also has more content than its black counterpart, so if quantity is what interests you, I would highly recommend for you to go for this book.
