Good sturdy product

Just watch out for that little silver pin holding the two clamps together. After a bit of use it sometimes starts to slide out. Just push it back in though. For the money tho, it's worth dealing with. I've been looking for a weighted device like this to hold the cellphone during times, say, when we're renting a U-Haul, with the large flat dashtops. My GPS has a bean bag mount, but it only works with the GPS. I could suction mount the cellphone to the windshield, but a lot of states have windshield obstruction laws that people never think about, which often make it illegal to mount devices UPON the windshield. This device makes it illegal in most places. Watch out for California, tho. Their law is ridiculously strict and anything simply in the WAY of the windshield is illegal.
