Power Brake Booster Check Valve-Element3 Raybestos CV89017
    08. Jun 2021
This brake booster check valve fits many classic Mopars
This check valve works great on many older Mopars. Though the online databases do not indicate fitment for many vehicles, I can attest that this check valve does fit the odd sized brake booster grommet on many older Mopar (Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler, etc) cars and trucks (from the 50s-80s) with the larger 7/8" or 15/16" grommet hole. One difficulty is that the vacuum hose barb is larger than 3/8", which makes the original vacuum hose connection a tight fit. Some silicone grease made it slide right on. This is the only check valve with a single host barb that I could find to fit these Mopar boosters with the larger grommet hole. Even though it seems pricey for a piece of plastic, all car parts seem to be going up these days, especially those for classic and antique vehicles.
    RAMM 33-016 3 way Passive Crossover 46-R3X-150-48 4 or 8 ohm woofer 150W
    11. Feb 2021
Good quality crossover, but lack of coil specs makes it tricky to verify actual crossover points.
Other reviews on this model are lacking some details on this crossover. So hopefully this review will help others. Pros with this crossover: 1994 date code (considered vintage nowadays). Good quality soldering, much better than most of the Chinese units available nowadays. The single sided PCB (top soldered) makes it easy to mount using standoffs or double sided tape on the bottom. Shiny, well-flowed solder joints. No cold joints. All components glued in place very well. Should hold up well to speaker vibration. Good quality components all around. Nicely wound air-core coils. Electrolytic capacitors aren't as favorable these days, but these seem like good quality ones nonetheless. Better style caps of similar size cost a small fortune (out of the price point for this unit). This crossover really woke up the midrange and tweeters in my setup over the previous crossovers. I feel that the tweeter crossover point is perfect. Now the cons: The woofer to midrange crossover point (advertised as 800Hz) left a bass hole in my setup. I used the 4-ohm position since I have a 4-ohm woofer. I seem to have lost a good bit of response starting around 250Hz, I think the coil is too big, or the rolloff is too aggressive (you'd think 6dB should be just right, but something seems off). Without the specs on the coils, or fancy analyzer equipment (other than my own ears), I'm not sure what the problem is. I did ask the seller... since I could not find any specs online for this model crossover. The seller responded promptly and was very polite. But had no further information. With the adjustable tap for 4 or 8 ohm, I think there is a compromise here. I thought having that option would allow me to swap over to an 8 ohm driver later, which I was considering. But if the 4 ohm position is too large of a coil, then the 8 ohm tap may be too large too since it shares half the coil. It may work better with an 8 ohm driver. But I will consider replacing the big coil later to see if I can fix the bass hole (using a smaller value coil). And if I do so, I will also stand it up vertically so that it is perpendicular to the other coil. Modern crossover designs indicate that coils should be at perpendicular angles to each other. My woes with this unit could also be some other problem. The drivers are matched pretty well (in sensitivity). So maybe the mid and tweeter channels on this crossover need L-padded which may help bring in more bass. Or even my ears need some time to adjust. I'm not sure. The previous crossovers were very strong in the mid-bass category and weak in the midrange and tweeters (which prompted my desire to replace them). They were not the original crossovers. They did have a padding circuit too, which this crossover does not. There's lots of factors involved. Including room acoustics, etc. But my speakers used to boom in the same spot. Now the mids and highs are very clear (which is beautiful) but the bass is lacking without cranking up the bass knob further than I should need to.

Valve Cover Gasket-Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth BIG BLOCK V-8 Set of 2 #RG-50145FR

Premium quality gaskets. Easy to install. Valve covers still have a slight weep of oil after a few trips but no leaks, so I will re-torque the nuts and see if that helps the weeping. I did ensure that the valve covers were flat all around, which is important since stamped steel covers tend to dish out at the bolt holes. It s really hard to find valve cover gaskets that completely prevent leaks and weeping on big block Mopars. So I ll take the success.
