Great for knife making on a budget.

Price point for anything that fits 2" belts can't be beat as far as I have seen. It's not super powerful, but it gets the job done. I have one I've been using for 1 1/2 years and it's still going strong. Just got this new one today to use in another area. Nothing appears to have changed except the color of the body. New one was white and I don't care. My reason for not giving this item a 5 star review is the factory platen. I've had to add my own on top of the factory platen on both with a 2" piece of 1/4" steel so I can grind in the plunge lines because the factory platen is about 3 inches wide. If you won't be using it for knife making, this probably won't be an issue for you.

The one I got was junk, hopefully for others it was just a lemon.

After about 15 minutes of use with a Roloc fine Scotch Brite pad, the gears stripped out completely without warning. Now it will spin at about 10 rpm and touching anything with it stops it completely. Out of the box it worked fine, until it didn't.

Great for the price.

These are a great item to use on the lower end of the rpm scale. I had trouble with them flying apart at 30,000 rpm but the are fine at around 20,000 rpm. Just keep your dremel off of it's highest setting and they are a great price / quality ratio.
